Gay Sex Guide and Advice

Anyone in the world can be affected by a sexually disease Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD)despite of there sexuality, gender and race. Sexuality and gender can have a influence on the possibility of catching a STD. A STD is really vague and misleading as you can get any of the diseases not just through sex but touch, excretion and exposed blood caused by cuts etc.

The most common disease which is associated with Homosexuality is HIV/AIDS. This can effect everyone in the world not just through Gay sex. It can be transmitted through unprotected anal and virginal sex, sex toys, cuts and oral sex. There have only been a few cases of transmitting HIV through oral sex due to exposed cuts in or around the mouth. Lesbian's are less likely to catch or spread HIV than Heterosexuals and Gay men due to the lack of blood exposure during Lesbian sex but that is not to say that being infected is impossible.

An old belief was that HIV was created by Homosexuals as punishment from God. This has been dismissed sensibly by Scientists who believe that the HIV virus originated from Chimpanzees in West Africa and passed on to humans through consuming the Chimps, being bitten by a Chimp and many more possible theories. There used to be an idea that only Gay men were able to contract the disease but to this day every single person on this planet can be infected by this virus.

HIV/AIDS is one if not the worse Sexually Transmitted Disease as it is fatal but there are other STD's that are not fatal but can cause a range of health complications.

Chlamydia is by far the most common STI there is. You can get Chlamydia through unprotected Sexual activities whether you are Gay or Heterosexual. Chlamydia is easily cured through drugs but you have to endure an unconfortable testing session at your local GUM clinic. Gonorrhea is similar to and is tested for in the same way as Chlamydia.

There are more diseases to consider such as Genital herpes, Syphilis and Genital warts. For further STI information visit the BBC site.

For Lesbians always wash sex toys in between swapping for your partners and be careful with cuts. For Gay men you assume they always engage in anal sex. This is untrue and in fact some have never performed this sexual act in their life time, they find other arousing activities as everyone is different including Heterosexuals (some prefer virginal sex and others prefer oral sex). If you are Gay and are considering Anal sex then make sure you protect for self using a condom and use plenty of water-based lube for lubrication. Condoms can protect you from STI and are free from family planning clinics etc and the lube you can get free from the GUM clinic and Gay bars etc.
